After School Care Program

For parents who are unable to pick up their children after school, we offer The After School Care Program based in Room 107 at Immaculate Conception School in Gilbertville. ABC provides a fun and loving environment for students in preschool through grade 5. Transportation to ABC is available from St. Joseph Preschool on a Bosco Catholic School System bus.

Families with the need for five-day-a-week care are given first priority and then space is filled on a first come, first serve basis. If you are planning to use the ABC program, please return the application (below) to the school office as soon as possible.

The ABC Program is licensed through Iowa Health and Human Services (HHS) and coordinated by Program Director Tera Weber and an Assistant. IC†SJ handbook policies and guidelines apply to this program as well as the information the ABC Handbook.

Hours of Operation for 2024-25

• Care is offered from 2:20-5:30 PM on days school is in session.
• Late fee charges of $3/minute per child start at 5:30 PM.
• In the event of early dismissal due to inclement weather or any other emergency, there will be NO ABC care.

Fees for 2024-2025

• $4/child per hour (includes snack and juice)
• Payment is due the first Monday for the previous month. Checks should be made payable to Bosco Catholic School System with ABC on the memo line and given to the Program Director.

• ABC Sunscreen Permission Form
• Immunization Record (we can get this from school records)
• $60 nonrefundable application fee (paid at Back to School Business Night in August)
